what if my doctor clears me for the service?

In very few of the above cases, your doctor may consent to you having a permanent makeup service done. If they send a written note of medical clearance and it is discussed with us prior to booking, we may move forward.

can I have lip blush if I had lip fillers?

Yes, however, you want to wait at least 4 weeks before having this service done. Lip fillers may affect the overall retention and healed color.

Can I have lip blush if I smoke?

You will need to be able to hold off smoking for at least 10 days after having the service.  If you do not think you can refrain from smoking, it is not recommended to have this service as it can cause an infection. Smoking may affect the overall retention and healed color.

Can I have lip blush if I am prone to cold sores?

Yes, you absolutely can! You would want to start an anti-viral medication prescribed by your physician prior to having the service completed and finish the regimen following the service. This applies even if it has been years since your last outbreak.

**Please note that HSV can lie dormant, therefore someone who has never had a cold sore may carry the virus without prior knowledge. Trauma and stress to the lips can bring forth HSV. It is recommended for anyone considering this service to be on a preventative. If you are unsure if this is for you, it is important to talk with your physician.

What is the difference between Microblading, Powder Brows, and Nano Brows?

The Microblading technique utilizes a manual tool with several microneedles to implant pigment into the skin. These small cuts depict eyebrow hair. This technique is best for dry to normal skin types and less mature skin types.

The Ombré Powder/Powder Brows technique utilizes a tattoo machine to graze the top of the dermal layer of skin leaving a pixelated/powdery look. This mimics a filled-in makeup look. This technique is great for all skin types and age groups.

The Nano Brows technique utilizes a tattoo machine to create a look that mimics hair strokes. This technique is similar to microblading in appearance, but less invasive and great for most skin types and age groups

If I did not have my original service at Divine Brow Bar, can I have my touch up there?

We will need to see the prior work before making a decision. There are many things to consider when doing corrective work or "touch ups" on another artist’s work. If the prior work faded to another color such as gray, blue, purple, or red, it requires a color correction prior to implanting the desired pigment of choice. If the prior work is overly saturated, the skin will not accept further pigment. If the prior design is outside our mapping, it may not be able to be covered. In the event that we can help, you will be considered a new client to us and it would not be considered a touch up service.

what does the initial appointment involve?

1. Discussing your brow goals

2. Choosing a pigment color best for your skin undertone and Fitzpatrick scale

3. Mapping your facial and eyebrow bone structure uniquely to you, then gaining approval upon completion

4. Bringing your brows to life

is the permanent makeup process painful?

Most clients say the process is painless and often compare it to having their eyebrows plucked. The initial pass of implanting pigment is done with no topical anesthetic, however, a topical anesthetic is utilized for the remainder of the process to help with any discomfort you may feel.
